Protection dog at the Beach

SALES

Your home is not just a shelter; it signifies stability, safety, and security. A family-owned and operated business, K9 Protection Services truly understands the importance of safeguarding your home, property, and loved ones. Our K9s are here to help alleviate those concerns.

Our Training Philosophy

Every K9 is different. K9 Protection Services LLC uses training methods appropriate to the individual dog's temperament, drive, experience, and intended purpose. Positive reinforcement is an important part of our training programs, while protection and obedience training may incorporate appropriate training equipment and corrections when necessary.

Our detection training is based entirely on positive reinforcement. Electronic collars are not used to train detection K9s to locate or indicate target odors. Detection dogs may be trained to provide a passive sit, stare, and stay indication and are rewarded for successfully locating and indicating their trained target odor.

WARRANTY

At K9 Protection Services LLC, every working dog offered for sale is selected with a focus on health, genetics, temperament, drive, and workability. Our dogs may include available genetic testing, veterinary bloodwork, X-rays, orthopedic screening, vaccination records, and health documentation to help ensure each dog is properly evaluated before placement. We provide a limited one-year health and workability warranty covering serious pre-existing health conditions or workability issues that materially affect the dog’s intended role. If a covered issue cannot be reasonably corrected, K9 Protection Services LLC may provide a suitable replacement dog in accordance with the warranty terms. To keep each dog performing at its best, the owner is responsible for providing proper care, continued handling, and ongoing maintenance training after delivery. Whether you are purchasing a protection dog, security dog, personal protection dog, family protection dog, patrol dog, detection dog, or trained working K9, K9 Protection Services LLC is committed to placing reliable, capable dogs backed by professional evaluation, clear warranty standards, and long-term working potential.

What is a titled or certified K9?

A titled or certified K9 is a dog that has successfully completed the requirements of a recognized working-dog organization, sport, certification program, or testing standard. Titles may include KNPV, IGP, French Ring, PSA, or other recognized working-dog credentials. Each title evaluates specific skills and should not be interpreted as proof that a dog is trained for every protection, detection, security, police, or personal-protection application. K9 Protection Services LLC evaluates each dog individually based on its training, temperament, health, working ability, environmental stability, and intended use.

Why do prices vary between dogs?

K9 pricing is based on the individual dog and the actual value of the training and services provided. Factors may include breed, age, pedigree, temperament, working ability, titles or certifications, previous training, health testing, veterinary expenses, importation and transportation costs, additional training, specialized detection capabilities, handler transition, and warranty coverage. Two dogs with the same title may have significantly different abilities, temperaments, experience, and training. For this reason, K9 Protection Services does not determine a dog's value solely by its breed or title. Our goal is to provide customers with a dog appropriate for their needs at a competitive price while clearly identifying the level of training and services included with the purchase. Does K9 Protection Services provide handler training with the dog?

Yes. Handler transition and instruction may be provided depending upon the dog, training level, location, and sales agreement. Proper handler education is an important part of owning a trained working or protection dog. Instruction may cover obedience commands, proper handling, maintaining control, deployment procedures when applicable, reinforcement of existing training, care, and continued training expectations.

Customers should understand that purchasing a trained K9 does not eliminate the need for continued training. The owner or handler is responsible for maintaining the dog's obedience, skills, conditioning, and established training after delivery. Additional or continuing handler training may also be available upon request.

Does a KNPV title mean the dog is fully trained for personal protection?

No. A KNPV title demonstrates that a dog has successfully completed specific training and testing requirements within the KNPV program. While KNPV dogs may possess excellent working characteristics and can provide a strong foundation for protection or law-enforcement applications, a KNPV title by itself does not mean that a dog is a fully finished personal or executive protection dog.

Additional training may be necessary to prepare a dog for the purchaser's intended application, environment, family, handler, or operational requirements. K9 Protection Services evaluates titled dogs individually and can provide additional training when appropriate.

What is the difference between a Green Dog, titled K9, and Platinum Protection Dog?

A Green Dog is generally a working-dog prospect selected for desirable characteristics such as drive, temperament, confidence, environmental stability, and trainability. Green dogs may have foundational training but have not necessarily completed advanced protection or detection training.

A Titled K9 has successfully completed the requirements of a particular working-dog organization, sport, or certification program. The dog's title documents achievement under that program but does not automatically establish that the dog is finished for every real-world application.

A Platinum Protection Dog receives additional training and evaluation for protection work based upon the level purchased and the dog's intended application. Higher Platinum levels may involve increasingly advanced obedience, protection scenarios, environmental exposure, control, and other specialized training.

Every dog is an individual. Titles, training levels, and prices should therefore be considered together rather than using a title alone to determine a dog's capabilities.

Delivery & Transportation

Delivery and transportation costs are not included in the listed purchase price unless otherwise stated. A separate delivery fee may apply and is determined at the time of delivery based on the K9's destination, method of transportation, airfare or mileage, lodging, ground transportation, and other reasonable travel-related expenses. Because transportation and lodging costs vary by location, availability, and current travel rates, delivery charges are quoted separately based on the circumstances at the time of delivery. Any applicable delivery costs will be discussed with the purchaser prior to final delivery arrangements.
